Volunteers are a key feature of the League of Friends. Members of the League of Friends are covered by our public liability insurance whilst volunteering, this insurance cover is a mandatory requirement of the NHS - it is therefore necessary that all volunteers are paid up members of the League.

The hospital shop which is located in the main entrance hall is run entirely by volunteers and we welcome additional volunteers to cover shifts. If you think you might be able to assist us in this area please contact us by visiting the shop.

Volunteers maintain many of the ornamental flower beds and flower pots around the hospital, and maintain the fish tank in Leach Ward (the in-patient ward).

Epsom Hospital (who run several of the clinics at Leatherhead) has accepted our offer of providing assistance to nursing staff (of non-nursing duties such as a chaperone), and it is hoped that CSH Surrey (who run most of the other services at Leatherhead) will eventually do the same.
